FOCAST has a long tradition of running training events. These include residential weekends which look at themes relevant to CA's. The aim of the Community Development Project is to create an annual programme of residentials and day events to meet the expressed needs of the CA's.

In the year 2000/2001 FOCAST organised two residentials on the themes of 'Regeneration and Community Enterprise' and on 'Opening Doors' which explored issues around Equal Opportunities. These were held locally in Northumberland and Durham and involved 55 people from CA's.

Further training will be available as a day event on March 10th 2001 on 'Creating an Equal Opportunities Policy' and 'Hands on the Internet'. (follow the ' One Day Event' link at the bottom of this page)

A full programme for the year 2001/2 will be made available by the end of February 2001.
